We recieved a large box as a thank you gift.
It was fun opening up and finding lots of different items. We started sampling right away. Every treat was very tasty. We were so impressed we sent a large box to someone for a housewarming gift the following week with a pleased response. Great that all the products are from here on the Island.
I was visiting Chennai’s and bought this at a little market.
I didn’t have my glasses but asked and was told it was a healthy product. I asked if I could give it to my dog (she said the original has garlic and no onion). Dogs can have fresh garlic but no onions. She have some to me and my dog.
Bought 3 for $20
Got home and read ingredients with glasses and was super disappointed. The original has ONION powder (toxic for dogs). Dextrose (cheap sugar), could use maple syrup. Spice? But doesn’t say what that is?
Sodium erythrobate which is not needed and is a chemical.
Silicon dioxide and nitrite which is another chemical. There is no need for these toxic chemicals in real food. Doesn’t say if the meat is grass fed? Which for the price I would assume it was.
Wish I had checked the ingredients before buying. $20 in the garbage.

After giving much thought regarding the postal strike I was going to send a Christmas present to Ontario after the holidays. Go for it, I told myself and see what happens. With Canada Post on strike I needed an alternative idea for Christmas for friends and family. Vancouver Island In A Box popped up on social media so I gave it a chance. I am so pleased I did! While I somehow managed to put in the wrong address for the recipient, the problem was quickly remedied by Vancouver Island in a Box. I was so pleased with the first experience I placed a second order. Again an easy process. This company understands the word service and I will surely order again.
